The South West of Australia is our favourite little slice of paradise, boasting boundless stretches of magical coastline, plains of untouched nature, ancient towering trees, and numerous world-renowned wineries.
Trips here consist of soaking up the sun on sparkling beaches, sipping on glasses of the finest grapes among the vineyards, settling in for a hearty pub lunch in the country breeze, experiencing the small delights of coastal living, and sampling the finest produce from farm to plate.

1. Melo Studios, Dunsborough
All the little details are combined with all the finer luxuries in life to create Melo Studios.
The design of the two equally dreamy spaces centres around the Eucalyptus Caesia tree or ‘Gungurru’, with the Eucalypt studio embodying the green and the Caesia studio representing its pink flowers. Both studios have everything you need for a pleasurable stay, with King beds adjoined by private en suites featuring a large bubble bath and breezy living areas next to a fully equipped kitchenette.
It’s perfectly located in the heart of Dunsborough, just a short stroll from some of our favourite South West cafes, boutiques, and restaurants.

2. Djurapin, Dunsborough
Everything you need for a beach getaway is ready to go at Djurapin.
Djurapin means ‘Happy’ in Nyoongar and this place certainly gives off happy vibes. The accommodation is quite stunning, giving off New York apartment feels while combining luxury with simplicity for the perfect weekend away. It’s also a short 50m to the word-famous Dunsborough beach so ticks all of our boxes.
It’s designed to accommodate up to 8 people, with two living areas, balcony, and an outdoor alfresco complete with a jacuzzi.

3. The Lookout, Eagle Bay
Highly popular among travellers, you’ll need to make sure you book well in advance to score a stay at this Eagle Bay gem.
The Lookout is secluded relaxation at its finest, featuring breathtaking views across glittering blue waters and postcard-like coastline. The small bedroom apartment is as picture perfect as the views, with high raked ceilings, a stone open fireplace, a private outdoor deck and views of Eagle Bay from the comfort of your queen-sized bed.
Days staying here will be spent meandering down to the beach, visiting nearby cafes and local boutiques in town, touring the nearby wineries and enjoying a glass of said wine while watching a fiery sunset over the water.
We’d recommend this one for a romantic little getaway with your special someone.

4. Whitesands, Quindalup
Whitesands Beachside Villas are centrally located to all the most exciting tourist attractions, making for the perfect spot to set up base camp on your South West adventure.
Just a short few steps away from the shoreline, the villas themselves are a direct reflection of the gorgeous coastal lifestyle that can be enjoyed down here. All of them feature the modern and casual interior you’d expect from a beach villa, with size options to suit larger groups or small families.
Here you’ll be walking outside in the morning to the salty sea breeze, eating a cooked brunch under the swaying peppermint trees, cycling into Dunsborough town to explore, and finishing the day with a refreshing dip in the glass-like ocean.

Moving away from the coastline, Cinque Stelle is your ultimate luxurious country stay among lush bushland.
The modern space ticks all the boxes with simply designed interiors of whites, beiges and subtle browns that blend into the rural surroundings seamlessly. It features three spacious bedrooms, two modern bathrooms, and a living/kitchen area that opens onto the large covered timber deck with views across the adjacent vineyard – hello perfect morning coffee spot!

6. Drift House, Quindalup
Whether a winter escape or summer getaway, Drift House tops our list on both accounts for the perfect spot to set up on a visit.
The stunning space is perfect for families, with all the creature comforts and a few luxurious extras to make up your home away from home. The beach is just a casual strolls distance away, the feature fireplace makes for the perfect place to curl up with a book in hand, the verandah is where you’ll want to settle in on the evenings for a glass of red, and the open plan dining area makes for beautiful morning breakfast with the sunlight streaming in.
Well located in a quiet neighbourhood, it’s easy to get to all the Margaret River region attractions from here. If you’re planning to bring your pooch along for the trip, the good news is they’re welcome too.
