Jetstar’s game-changing Melbourne to Busselton flight is about to take off.
When it seems like Australia is returning to some kind of normality, low-cost carrier airline Jetstar has announced the return of its newest route that had yet to take off – Melbourne to Busselton.
Those in the South West can again rejoice not having to do the long drive up to the big smoke with flights from Melbourne (Tullamarine) to Busselton starting from a low $149 one way.
The new route was first announced back in October 2019 in which almost seems like a millennium ago with the flights meant to have taken off in the South West major hub back in March. Thankfully, the newly announced route survived the curveballs of COVID with the first flight scheduled to take off February 1, 2021.
It is expected to be a tourism game-changer, linking Melbourne’s hip happening scene to Busselton, a seaside gateway to the renowned Margaret River wine region, glorious beaches and so much more.
Fingers crossed this is just the beginning of seeing more east coast cities being connected to other destinations in the west.
