Discover the Dubai Frame, the world’s largest picture frame.

What do you think of when you think ‘Dubai’? Probably unique skyscrapers, a sprawling desert landscape, and opulent architecture – so it’s no surprise that the world’s largest picture frame fits right in.

The Dubai Frame is a huge picture frame sitting at nearly 150 metres (500 feet) tall in Zabeel Park, the heart of Dubai.

The frame is positioned so visitors can see various chapters of the city from all angles by sitting in between the old city and Dubai’s newest landmarks. On one side, you’ll view the new Dubai with skyscrapers and extravagant buildings, and on the other, you’ll see the old Dubai overlooking Deira to really take you back to where it all began.

It attracts around 2 million visitors per year and is the perfect photo op to marvel at the beauty of your surroundings and get that enviable insta shot.

Is Dubai frame made of real gold?

The Dubai frame is made from stainless steel.

The shimmering exterior comes from over 15,000 square meters of gold-coloured stainless steel alongside 2,000 tons of steel and 2,900 square metres of laminated glass.

Can you go inside the Dubai frame?

Yep! Tourists are welcome to go inside and get on the elevator to the very top so they can walk across the sky bridge.

The ground floor of the monument houses a museum showcasing Dubai’s history through displays and presentations, and reaching the very top means 360-degree views of the city with the help of interactive technologies such as augmented reality-activated screens, where tourists can observe buildings and landmarks in 3D.

On the other side of the mezzanine level, the futuristic Dubai is depicted and generated using interactive projections and virtual reality where visitors can interact and experience it all.

When was the Dubai frame built?

Construction on the Dubai frame started in 2013 and was completed and opened to the public in 2018. It was developed with a whopping investment of $43.5 million.

How much does the Dubai frame cost?

Dubai Frame tickets cost AED 50 ($19 AUD) for adults and AED 30 ($11.45 AUD) for children.

Tickets are free for children under the age of 3 and people over the age of 60.
