Feeling like you need a break from the Christmas break? 

Jetstar has launched a ‘post-Chrissy recovery’ sale with some domestic flights beginning at as little as $39 and international flights beginning at $175. 

Over 65,000 fares are available under the sale, which began at 12:00 am December 8th, across 50 of the low-cost carrier’s routes.

The starting $39 fares cover Sydney to Byron Bay, Sydney to Melbourne (Avalon), and Melbourne (Tullamarine) to Launceston. 

There’s no shortage of places to fly out of the country with flights going to New Zealand, Japan, Thailand, Bali, and Hawaii. 

You can also fly Melbourne to Phuket from $219, Sydney to Honolulu from $229, and the Gold Coast to Tokyo from $299. 

You’ll need to wait until mid-2023 for the post-Christmas holiday however with many of the travel dates between early May and mid-September. 

Dates of travel may vary depending on the departing and arriving destinations so make sure to check when booking. 

All sale flights are one-way and don’t include checked baggage so you’ll need to factor that in when buying tickets. 

There’s also a range of hotel and flight packages to destinations including the Gold Coast, Bali, Fiji, Cairns, and Melbourne. 

These holiday packages include return starter fares and no checked baggage. 

The sale ends at 11:59 pm AEDT on Monday, December 12 unless sold out prior.
